Allegra McBane

Allegra McBane is a Postpartum Doula, Certified Lactation Educator Counselor (CLEC), and Certified Yoga Teacher.

She received her postpartum doula training through Doulas of North America (DONA), and her Lactation Counselor certification through the University of California San Diego (UCSD).

Allegra is also a 2nd Degree Certified Reiki Practitioner, which she incorporates into her yoga teaching and postpartum doula services.

Allegra is the founder of Mamatoto Wellness LLC which collaborates with other women-led businesses to offer holistic support to new mothers and families.

Allegra lives in Greenwich, CT with her son.

Allegra is the facilitator for the Connecticut circles of CircleMoms.

Abby Corbett

Abby is a doula (Birth Arts International), educator, wife, and mother of 4 living in Charlotte, NC. 

Prior to becoming a doula, Abby worked for a few years in a variety of roles including teaching high school, coaching soccer, and as an editor. 

Abby became passionate about birth and women’s health after her first out-of-hospital birth experience in 2016. That experience propelled her to become a doula and share her knowledge with others. She has been working as a doula for the past 6 years attending hospital, birth center, and home births while also supporting women through postpartum. She is also trained in Spinning Babies and Advanced Rebozo. 

She prides herself in using her voice, hands, and heart to inspire women (and their families) as they bring their babies into the world.

Clara Love

Clara is a birth doula with DONA International, a Lactation Educator and Counselor through U.C. San Diego and a E-RYT 200 and RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) with the Yoga Alliance. She completed yoga teacher training with Yoga Arts in Bali, continued studies with Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai as well as Vipassana studies in Sohna, India. Clara completed Heart & Hands Midwifery Intensives with Elizabeth Davis in 2020 and the Spinning Babies workshop in 2021. She is a volunteer with the Postpartum Support Center as a facilitator of the ROSE Program to help expecting and new parents lower the risk of postpartum depression.

After over a decade in Shanghai, China, Clara and her family settled in Marin County, CA.

Elise Abbruzzese

Elise Abbruzzese is a Postpartum Doula, Plant-based Chef, and Integrative Health Coach.

After graduating from Cardozo School of Law and working in Commercial Real Estate Banking for nearly a decade, Elise decided to make a major career shift. Pursuing her passion for health and wellness, she trained at Duke to become an Integrative Health Coach and then attended Culinary School at the Natural Gourmet Institute.

Through her own motherhood journey, Elise realized her calling to support women from preconception through postpartum. She completed her postpartum doula training through Doulas of North America (DONA) and founded Hera Be Well, which offers doula, cheffing, and coaching services to aspiring, expecting, and new mothers.

Elise lives in Greenwich, CT with her husband and their two children.

Elise is the facilitator for the Old Greenwich circle of CircleMoms.

Penny Gilchrist

Penny has been a Postpartum and Labor Doula in the Atlanta area for over 25 years. She received her Doula certification through the Cappa Doula Association and provided labor support in hospitals for 14 years.

She assists new moms with breastfeeding, bottle feeding, sleep schedules (with flexibility as babies aren’t robots or textbooks) soothing techniques, and so much more. She believes that no two babies are alike and always focuses on the needs of both baby AND mom. She loves helping parents feel confident about taking care of their babies. In addition to her at-home consults (pre and post baby’s arrival), she also offers private labor classes.

Penny lives in East Cobb, GA with her husband. She loves gardening, cooking, and most of all, spending time with her grandsons and family.

Penny is the facilitator for the Atllanta circles (Brookhaven & Sandy Springs) of CircleMoms.

Jenna Arsenault

Jenna Arsenault is a DONA-certified Postpartum Doula. Before becoming a doula, she spent more than 15 years working in the mental health field as a Registered Nurse and Social Worker. She struggled with a postpartum mood disorder after having her first baby. Because of this, she emphasizes maternal and infant mental health in her services to families.

Jenna is a Mom Mentor, volunteer and serves on the Board of Directors at Postpartum Support Charleston. She also writes for Charleston Moms blog and her own blog, www.SnarkMom.com

Jenna lives with her husband and two sons in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Jenna is the facilitator for the Charleston, SC circle of CircleMoms.

Kaylan Sharp

Kaylan Sharp, RN, BSN, BS, CLE, PCD(DONA) obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Duke University School of Nursing in 2011, after obtaining a BS in human physiology from Boston University in 2006. After working in the intensive care unit and heart catheterization lab, she decided to stay at home with her then three children in 2018. Kaylan became passionate about birth and women’s health in 2013 while pregnant with her first child, as she became aware of the gap in our current healthcare surrounding women’s health in pregnancy, labor and postpartum. She has shared her nursing knowledge, experience, lactation education and doula training about pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, and parenthood with countless families.

Kaylan has 4 kids and lives in Denver with her husband, Scott.

Kim Collins

Kim Collins, CD(DONA), LCCE, CLC, (she/her) is a local doula, childbirth educator & lactation counselor with over twenty years experience, as well as mom to three sons. 

She works with birthing people and their families at any and all birth places/plans/care providers, helping families figure out what feels right for them for pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

McLean Mcgown

McLean is a mother of two, wife, Postpartum Doula, Yoga & Pilates teacher, Nutritionist, Buddhist and yoga practitioner living in Los Angeles.

She became a Postpartum doula in order to embody the help that she didn’t realize she needed after the birth of her first daughter. Becoming a postpartum doula led her to her truest passion- to support women during one of their most vulnerable times in life and bear witness to their rite of passage into Motherhood.

Rachel Kwock

Doula Rachel Connolly Kwock absolutely loves what she does as been serving families in Northern NJ for over 13 years as a Birth Doula CD(DONA) & Birth Photographer (IAPBP), & more recently as a Postpartum Doula through Birth Arts International (BAI) & a Certified Lactation Counselor  through Healthy Children's Project. Rachel is the Founder of Northern NJ Doula Network and resides in Morris County with her husband, 2 teenage children, & 2 dogs. 

Rachel is the facilitator for the Shorthills/Millburn, New Jersey circle of CircleMoms.

Katrin Stoerr de Queiroz

Katrin Stoerr de Queiroz is a former midwife/ current birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator.

During her time as a midwife in her native Germany postpartum care was an essential part of her work. She loves sharing her knowledge and experience with new moms, help them find support and community, get answers to the countless questions that occur daily with a newborn baby, and have a safe space to share laughs and tears with one another.

Katrin is also a yoga teacher, certified and registered, and teaches children and adults. Due to her background in the birthing world she is especially passionate about prenatal and postpartum yoga.
